和 木 interior design

"和木" interior design start-up based in Hong Kong. It is inspired by the Cantonese pronunciation of the expression "he mu" (harmony) and committed to the idea of a harmonious combination between nature and human life.

For the design of the brand visual for Harmony (He Mu) Interior Design, we were inspired by the craft of joinery in woodworking. We believe that a harmonious residence should be tailor-made to the living habits of the residents, much like joinery in woodworking, such that the two are meticulously and closely joined together, before it can be said to be a good home.

Therefore, the design of the logo type was based on graphics of Chinese characters, in which combinations of different graphic structures resembling woodworking joints form the characters of the brand name "He Mu." It symbolizes how "和木” Interior Design is committed to tailoring design to users, and showcases how a "harmonious" home is the result of a combination of different members.
