
PreteHK is a web start-up based in Hong Kong primarily focused on men's hair and styling products. "Prete" means "ready" in French. The brand concept is focused on allowing men to increase their self-confidence through an improvement in their appearance, so as to become a mature man who appears "ready" both on the inside and the outside.
We designed a series of visuals for promoting PreteHK on social media. Inspired by the recently popularized barber shops, we created the fictitious character of Sir Prete, a man with a story. He holds one's external appearance in high regard, and communicates with consumers on the social media accounts of PreteHK, resolving the various gripes they have over their appearance, and recommending products to consumers.
In terms of the design of the visuals, we combined graphic design with real photographs, to generate a visual experience combining both 2D and 3D elements. The fictitious character garnered the recognition of consumers as well as their attention to the hair products under the brand of PreteHK.
